“You may find honors, Taim, and you may not. If you begin to fret over them, think what happened to the others who've done what you did. Logain, captured and gentled; rumor says he died in the Tower. A nameless fellow beheaded in Haddon Mirk by the Tairens. Another burned by the Murandians. Burned alive, Taim! That's what the Illianers did to Gorin Rogad four years ago, as well.
“Not a fate I would embrace,” Taim said levelly.
“Then forget honors and remember the Last Battle. Everything I do is aimed at Tarmon Gai'don. Everything I tell you to do will be aimed at it. You will aim at it!

The Wheel is turning towards the Last Battle. You, newcomer, have been drawn by the pull of ta'veren, a leaf caught in the power of a whirlpool. What role will you take in the events that are only now beginning to unfold? Which side you choose, the Light or the Dark? The Wheel weaves as the Wheel wills, and we all are but a part of the Pattern, yet it takes but a thread to change the course of events...

... which is where you come in. Feel free to browse through the choices offered, and remember... you only live once. Only a few are bound to the Wheel, spun out again and again to work the will of the Wheel in the Pattern of the Ages. Make your decision... carefully.

Welcome to Tarmon Gai'don - the Last Battle. This is the Official Homepage of the Wheel of Time RPG located on Ethereal Realms. The name “Tarmon Gai'don” was chosen because that will be the climax of Robert Jordan's saga, and any Wheel of Time fan worth their salt would know the name, instead of some of the more hopeless names put together by our competition (i.e. the various MU*s out there).

What makes our chat special and different from the other ones out there, besides the not-as-bad name? We'd like to think that the system and the homepage stands out as a cut above the rest... but the real difference is that we condone, in fact, -encourage-, playing the characters written in Robert Jordan's books. This is an extension of his world, set a little after Winter's Heart so as to allow as much continuity as possible, while enabling as many characters as we can to still be played. As the books come out, we will move on, but that will be years yet.

The Wheel of Time is a series of fantasy books (published by TOR Books) written and © to Robert Jordan. We do not, in any way, profit in this purely leisurely pasttime, and act merely as advertisement for what is truly one of the best fantasy series out there.
